Hello
My name is Joshua Stewart & in 2015 I graduated with my B.F.A. in Graphic Design & Printmaking from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
The draw of Design to me is the opportunity to lovingly & laboriously transform my ideas into visual forms, for others to observe, inspect & judge. Through my designs I explore duality; striking a balance between contrast and unity. What sets me apart from other designers is that given the chance I am always excited to combine my love of traditional processes such as Screen & Block printing with my understanding of the contemporary rules of design to create truly handcrafted imagery.
When not working on designs, I create original, hand printed art using traditional Linocut & Screenprinting techniques. Together with some of my fellow print enthusiasts I helped found Printmakeit an organization dedicated to sharing our love of the amazing world of print with the public through workshops, pop-up galleries & a zine.
